salted sesame granola

1,5 cups (160g) rolled oats

1 cup (50g) puffed cereal, I used puffed spelt

1/3 cup (50g) sesame seeds

big pinch of flakey salt

2 tbsp solid coconut oil

2 tbsp sugar beet syrup or 3 tbsp maple syrup

method:

add the oats, puffed cereal, sesame seeds and salt to a large bowl.

in a small bowl, combine the coconut oil and syrup. it is important that the coconut oil is solid, if yours isn’t, set it in the fridge for an hour.

pour the syrup mix over the oats and mix, it’s easiest using your hands here. it might seem like too little liquid, but it’s not.

spread the granola evenly on a baking sheet.

bake at 170°C for 30 minutes, then cool completely before storing.
